TOTAL EMERGENCY ALERT! ! !
By Rev. Ted Pike
Today, homosexual online newspaper Washington Blade (June 16, 2009) says Sen. Kennedy’s hate crimes amendment
will go before the Senate for vote either today, June 16, or tomorrow. It will be attached to S. 1023, the Travel Promotion
Act, a bill geared to establishing a national travel promotion program.
The Blade quotes an unnamed Democratic source who says: “The idea is that that will be an amendment to the tourism
bill that’s going to be on the floor this week in the Senate, and we’re thinking that the vote will happen
probably [Tuesday] or Wednesday.”
It also states, “John Berry, director of the Office of Personnel Management and the highest-ranking openly gay
presidential appointee in history, announced during a speech at D.C.’s Capital Pride on Sunday that the Senate would
address hate crimes as early as this week…
More details on the passage of hate crimes legislation are expected later Monday at press conference on Capitol Hill.
Speakers scheduled to attend include Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid; Joe Solmonese, president of the Human Rights Campaign;
Wade Henderson, executive director of the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights; and Michael Lieberman, Washington counsel
for the Anti-Defamation League, a group that works to stop the defamation of Jewish people.”
Kennedy’s hate bill amendment will be passed unless the Senate is immediately flooded with protest calls! Call
your Senators as well as all members of the U.S. Senate (names available HERE at www.truthtellers.org). Call toll-free 1-877-851-6437
or toll 1-202-225-3121.
Tell Senators: “I protest Sen. Kennedy’s high-handed attempt to pass the hate crimes bill without
due process of hearings in the Senate Judiciary Committee. If the Senator votes for this pedophile-protecting bill, I and
my friends will never forgive or forget!”
